Privacy Policy
Fat Camp China (fatcampchina.com) is an English booking desk for one partner fitness camp in Xinglong, Wanning, Hainan, China. This page describes what the site actually does with data.
Visiting the site
We count visits with two cookie-free tools: a self-hosted Umami instance and our own form and analytics server. For each page view they receive the page path, the referring site, campaign tags in the link, your browser and device type, screen size, language and country-level location. Your browser keeps a random visit number for the current tab session only. Neither tool sets cookies, follows you across other sites or receives the part of an address after a # sign, and Umami respects your browser’s Do Not Track setting. Like any server, they see your IP address to answer the request; we do not store it with your visits.
Your account and bookings
To book online you sign in with Google or with a one-time code sent to your email. From Google we receive your name, email address and Google account ID; we never see your Google password. A booking stores the room, arrival date and planned stay, the guest’s name, phone or WhatsApp number, passport country if you choose it, your goal, health and diet notes, and the state of your deposit. We share the booking with the camp in Xinglong so it can prepare your room and programme; health notes are shared only for that purpose. When you first sign in we also record where your visit came from (for example the referring site or campaign tags in the link, the page you landed on and a country-level location), so we know which pages and channels bring guests. We do not store your IP address or advertising click IDs with it.
Paying the deposit
The deposit is paid on a Stripe payment form inside the booking page. Your card details go to Stripe, which processes the payment; we and the camp never see the full card number. We receive the payment status, amount, currency and a payment reference, and keep them with your booking. Refunds go back to the same card through Stripe.
Date requests and messages
When you send a date request without paying online we receive what you type: room, arrival date and planned stay, passport country, goal, health and diet notes, name, email and, if you give it, a WhatsApp number. We use it to reply to you and, because you tick the box to agree, we share it with the camp in Xinglong so it can check dates and whether the programme suits you. Health notes are shared only for that purpose. If you email contact@fatcampchina.com, we receive your address and message and use them only to reply.
Where data is stored, and for how long
Accounts, bookings and form submissions are stored on our gateway server in the Netherlands, and booking and form notices are delivered to our inbox. Bookings and their payment records are kept for 6 years after the stay for accounting and tax; unpaid bookings that were never completed are deleted within 12 months. Requests that do not lead to a booking are deleted within 12 months; you can ask us to delete yours at any time and we do so within 30 days. The camp keeps the details it needs for your stay under Chinese law, including the accommodation registration that applies to every foreign visitor.

Your choices
You can see and cancel your bookings in My bookings. You can ask what we hold about you, correct it, or have your account and data deleted by writing to contact@fatcampchina.com. You can withdraw your consent to sharing with the camp at any time; it does not undo sharing that already happened, but we ask the camp to delete what it received if you have not booked.
Children
The site and the camp bookings are for adults (18 and over). We do not knowingly collect data from children, and we delete it if we find we have.
Changes
We update this page when our practices change and show the date above.
