Hainan fat camp FAQ

Short answers about the Hainan fat camp in Xinglong: price, programme length, rooms, food, English, visas and health. Where something is not confirmed yet, the answer says so. Longer versions are on rooms and prices, the programme, meals and travel and visa.

Price and booking

How much does the Hainan fat camp cost?

Per programme: Glimmer Room ¥10,280 (about $1,542), Sunlit Room ¥12,580 (about $1,887), Aurora Loft ¥16,880 (about $2,532). Dollar figures use ECB rates of 27 October 2026.

How long is one programme?

The camp quotes one price per programme period. We are confirming how many days one period covers and will put it in writing with your dates before you pay anything.

How do I book?

Online: choose a room and an arrival day, sign in with Google or your email, and pay a $300 deposit to hold the room. The deposit counts toward the camp price; the rest is paid at the camp. Within two working days we confirm the programme with the camp and email your arrival plan.

What if I need to cancel?

Cancel at least 30 days before arrival and the whole deposit is refunded. Closer to arrival the deposit is not refunded, but you can move your dates once at no charge. Early-departure terms for the programme itself are set by the camp and confirmed in writing.

Do you charge a fee?

No fee to you for a date request. We may receive a referral commission from the camp.

Rooms and daily life

Will I share a bedroom?

No. Every room type is a private bedroom. Glimmer and Sunlit rooms share a living room and dining area with other guests in the apartment; the Aurora Loft is yours alone.

What is the food like?

Three varied meals a day, cooked on site with calorie control in mind and delivered to your room: fish or seafood, chicken, mixed-grain rice, vegetables, soup and fruit.

Is every training session one-to-one?

You get a one-to-one training plan. The number of private sessions and the coach-to-guest ratio are confirmed with your booking.

Do the coaches speak English?

Not confirmed yet. The camp accepts overseas guests; tell us if you need English and we confirm what support is available before you pay.

What do I do at weekends?

The camp describes outings such as surfing, snorkelling, stream trekking and boat trips, plus an outdoor pool and tennis court. Some activities cost extra.

Travel

Do I need a visa?

Not for up to 30 days if your country is one of the 61 on Hainan’s visa-free list (the US, UK, Canada, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia and most of Europe are on it) and you arrive through a Hainan port.

Where exactly is the camp?

Building A3, Chocolate Town, Xinglong, Wanning, Hainan, China. The closest airport is Sanya Phoenix, about 95 km away in a straight line.

Can I pay by card?

Visa cards are accepted on site (confirmed by the camp).

Health and results

How much weight will I lose?

Nobody can promise a number, and we do not. Results depend on your starting point, the programme length and what you do afterwards. The NHS suggests 0.5 to 1 kg a week for steady loss.

Is the camp safe for me?

It is a fitness and weight-management programme for healthy adults, not a medical service. If you have diabetes, heart or kidney disease, are pregnant, have had an eating disorder or take regular medicine, see your doctor before you book and tell the camp.

Can under-18s come?

No. Bookings through this site are for adults only.
